On this Thanksgiving week we give thanks for all that we have whether it’s freedom, family or friends. We are so grateful for the ability to serve you and our community! You are the reason we’re here and why we do what we do.
We’ve compiled a few tips on how to make your Thanksgiving holiday a great success, and save you your sanity!
Have turkey questions? Call the Butterball hotline!
The Turkey Talk-Line from Butterball has answered turkey related questions every November and December since 1981. They will answer any question you have on how to cook a turkey and what to do if you’re in a panic. They will answer over phone, email, live chat and social media; includes Spanish speakers and the first male Turkey Talk-Line expert. Their hotline answers 100,000 questions each season, so find out how to get in touch HERE.
Getting on the road
AAA projects 50.9 million Americans will be traveling 50 or more miles this Thanksgiving, the highest in 10 years. So whether you’re the one traveling, or your family and friends are coming to you, make sure to plan your travel and be prepared for the traffic.
Save space in your fridge!
Use an ice chest/cooler as a second fridge to help you save space on the big day! All of those tiny items (pickles, condiments, leftovers) that take up valuable refrigerator real estate can be held in a cooler to give you more room for your most important Thanksgiving foods.
It’s a busy day for plumbers
We have to talk about it…the day after Thanksgiving is the busiest day for plumbers according to Roto-Rooter. Meal cleanup and extra people in your home can put an extra burden on your home’s plumbing system. Make sure to follow their tips on how to keep all of your drains unclogged so you aren’t faced with an unnecessary expense this season.
