Learn More About Youngstown

Well-known for its festivals, fairs, historic landmarks, and outdoor recreation opportunities, Youngstown may come from humble beginnings, but it’s quickly growing into a hub for young professionals and families. The city, once home to some of the biggest steel-producing manufacturers, is tucked along the Mahoning River and about an hour drive southeast of Cleveland.

It has well-respected schools, a low violent crime rate, and boasts plenty of cultural attractions, such as the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry & Labor, the Lanterman’s Mill and Covered Bridge, and the Mill Creek Suspension Bridge.

There’s also the Ward Beecher Planetarium, which hosts public shows on the topics of space, earth science and astronomy, and family-friendly gatherings year-round, like the Old-Fashioned Christmas in the Woods Festival.
