Learn More About Irvine

Irvine, located about an hour’s drive southeast of Los Angeles, is home to miles of shoreline, a world-class university, a wildlife sanctuary within city limits, and lots of local goods and produce.

It also encompasses over 1,300 acres of what used to be a former Marine Corps air station—now, it’s the Orange County Great Park. It features a balloon that takes tourists hundreds of feet into the air, a carousel, and an airport hangar with preserved aircraft on display.

Just down the road, the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary feature 10-plus miles of trails for walkers, joggers, and for bird watchers and photographers. Closer to the water, Newport Beach provides a relaxing reprieve, with walking trails to catch the sunset and boutique shops and local restaurants lining the harbor.

Tanaka Farms, a 30-acre agricultural attraction, offers guided wagon rides and fresh produce samples along the way.
